What does North Somerset People First do?
- It supports people with learning disabilities to speak up for themselves and be aware of their rights
- It takes part in consultations by talking to people about the services they receive and what they want from those services
- It makes people aware of self-advocacy and what it means
- It links with other organisations that help people who have disabilities
- It provides training to enable all these things to happen.
- It supports members to take part in meetings with Statutory Authorities, which shape the services provided.
